Last Friday we announced the release of The Weekend, the exquisite new single by Tasmanian indie folk pop duo Runaway Belles.  Featuring the stunning vocals and harmonies of Emma Anglesey and Tash Parker, The Weekend is the story of love that is never set to last.  Stream: The Weekend.

Best friends and having lived together for the last two years, the storytelling duo have been writing music and performing together for over 6 years.  Through word of mouth and without ever releasing a recording, Tash and Emma have been invited to mesmerise audiences at Dark Mofo, The Woodford Planting Festival, A festival called Panama, Festival of Voices and Party In The Paddock. They have also supported Katie Noonan, The East Pointers and Liz Stringer along the way.  Due to the overwhelming support from their community and fans, in 2018 the girls decided to record their original songs and launch their act as Runaway Belles.

Making the most of being in isolation lockdown together, Emma and Tash organised their Runaway Belles press photoshoot to be done over Skype with Melbourne-based photographer re_stacks, what a creative and innovative approach to overcome restrictions in this current landscape.

Thrilled to be able to perform in the same room together, Runaway Belles will be live streaming every Monday evening throughout May via Facebook, they kicked off their first stream last night and it was FAB.
