Home Alone – Obviously a bona-fide classic. A staple of any Christmas season viewing. My favourite scene is when Kevin scares Marv away by playing a gangster movie on the TV.

Die Hard – A lot of people try and argue that this isn’t a Christmas movie, but it absolutely 100% is. Die Hard is another classic that was so successful it spawned a whole franchise which is still continuing to this day. It’s hard to go past the air duct scene. It’s just so iconic!

Elf – Hands down the funniest Christmas movie, in my opinion. Will Ferral playing a full grown man named Buddy who mistakenly thinks he’s one of Santa’s helpers is absolute comedy gold. On of my favourite scenes is when Buddy decides to confront a department store Santa, calling him a fraud.

The Nightmare Before Christmas – This was an all time favourite film of ours growing up. Tim Burton’s animated Christmas Musical is so unique and creative, and the songs are all excellent. If I have to pick one moment, it would be when Jack Skellington first discovers Christmastown.

Love Actually – A modern classic. I don’t think you can let Christmas go by without watching this brilliantly written, brilliantly cast rom com. This movie has so much heart, you can’t wipe the smile off your face once it’s over. Hands down the best scene is Hugh Grant’s dancing Prime Minister.
