Potent Perth collective Mal de Mer have today released a brand new single Mirage, a slinky, funked-up fantasy that’ll tap shoes far and wide. Alongside the bustling frivolity of the new tune, Mal de Mer have also announced an accompanying video for Mirage, with both the song and video marking the final alluring glimpse into the group’s brand new EP Sanguine which will officially drop on July 8 and is available to presave now.

1 – Running From – Kevin Garrett
The production is incredible on this, riddled with one-off melodies and super interesting textures that build under the gorgeous vocals.

2 – The Brink – Gretta Ray
The songwriting grabs my heart and throws it on the floor and I love it, especially that pre-chorus, cathartic perfection.

3 – Out Of The Black – Royal Blood
Such a huge sound for drums and bass, I love the really simple but catchy riffs that hit you from every angle.

4 – Fade – Ariel Posen
I love the trio setup in this, it really lets the beautiful, vocal slide guitar and Ariel’s voice shine.

5 – Lyla – Oasis
This screams my Manchester childhood, Oasis will always have a huge spot in my heart. Nothing beats screaming “HEYYYY LYLA” and that roaring guitar solo.

6 – Deja Vu – Beyonce
This is my top amp up tune, nothing beats those horns and that bass line. The Homecoming version of this with the marching band is another world.

7- Motorbike – Leon Bridges
Leon’s vocals are a dream with the floaty instrumentals, especially the subtle guitar parts layered throughout.

8 – Say Something – Jordan Rakei
I love how the wonky drums manage to lock in and create this really funky feel but still sit just out.

9 – How Come You Don’t Call Me Anymore – Prince
So striped back but it still grooves so hard and doesn’t take away from the super emotive vocals.

10 – Erase Me – Lizzy Mcalpine (feat. Jacob Collier)
All the layers beautifully build in this tune to a really dramatic peak, absolutely love all of the harmonies.
