for the senses and the soul. Accompanied by a self-directed music video also out today, Paradise marks a sublime introduction into Kel’s
musical world, with the track set to launch tonight live in action at The Great Club (Marrickville) in Sydney.

WE GOT TO SPEAK TO KEL ABOUT HIS TOP 5 INDIE POP ARTISTS:

RUEL
You against yourself – This song has some great lyrics and rhythm and joined with its faced paced exciting drive, the song is exciting and Ruel is great at crafting meaningful songs that are energetic and fun to listen to.

LIZZIE MCAPLINE
Doomsday – I love the feel of this song, it matches the title. The production feels dark and the chords are not what you typically hear in most pop music – the songwriting again is so well crafted and I always scream the lyrics in the bridge. It’s so good!

OCTOBER PASSED ME BY – GIRL IN RED
I chose this song because I love the songwriting, the title alone sets the story and I love listening to it each time. I also love the build up from just the guitar to the larger production, it’s super exciting to listen to.

ROBBERY – LIME CORDIAL
This song is super fun and the storytelling in the song and rhythm of the lyrics feels like I’m watching a movie when i’m listening to which I think is really cool and definitely take inspiration from the type of lyricism that as a listener I can picture what the artist is saying clearly!

RIPPLE – SYCCO
I saw this song live at Laneway in Sydney this year, I love the more experimental take on sounds with this song, where her voice drives the song rhythmically as well. It’s the type of music that makes you move.
